How it works

The generator shuffles passages from a standard lorem corpus — derived from Cicero’s De finibus — and assembles them according to your mode. Paragraph mode joins passages with blank lines; sentence mode splits on sentence boundaries; word mode counts tokens until the target is reached. Each click produces varied block lengths suitable for design work. Output is plain text with no HTML markup unless you add it yourself.

When “Start with Lorem ipsum…” is enabled, the first paragraph or sentence opens with the familiar Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet… line so comps match industry convention. Word mode may cut mid-passage once the token count is reached, which is intentional for precise length targets. Sentence mode respects period boundaries so punctuation stays natural. Because generation is randomised on each click, clicking Generate again gives a different shuffle — useful when you need two sidebar blocks that look similar in length but not identical.
